London’s maverick bakery, Flavourtown, is to soft launch its first ever shop in Parsons Green on Saturday 9th December. Situated at 771 Fulham Road, doors will open at 7:30am, seven days a week, to provide their freshly baked, highly addictive award-winning cupcakes and brownies to the cake-loving people of south-west London.
To celebrate the launch, Flavourtown has added some exciting new bakes to the menu:
Parsons Green Peanut Pie – an Oreo crust with a peanut butter cream cheese filling topped with a layer of single origin organic chocolate ganache
Toasted Hazelnut Tart – toasted hazelnut pastry crust with an unctuous hazelnut truffle filling finished with toasted hazelnuts and gold lustre
The Boss Brownie – the best Flavourtown classic brownie ever, made with and filled with Original Beans single origin chocolate. This will ruin any other brownie for you.
Through the instore viewing gallery window you can watch the team baking fresh on site every day. Everything will be made from scratch, never produced centrally and simply heated up on site.
Large show stopping cakes will be available by the slice; from Unicorn cakes complete with five-inch gold fondant horns to rainbow cakes with six magnificent coloured layers of Madagascan vanilla sponge.
Breakfasts are sorted as the team will be on site every day to bake a fresh selection of pastries such as buttery croissants and pain au chocolats. Coffee fans will be pleased to know that Caravan Coffee Roasters will be supplying its organic direct-trade sourced beans to create delicious premium coffee to commuters and locals.
The amazingly talented Flavourtown team make cakes and cupcakes the only way they know how – by hand and with a meticulous eye for detail, quality and flavour. With incredible attention to detail, every decoration, sauce, compote and curd will be handmade on the premises using fresh organic fruits.
Flavourtown refuses to compromise on quality and uses only the finest ingredients available; creamy AOP Lescure butter from France, fresh organic free-range eggs, sumptuous Valrhona and Callebeaut chocolate and premium organic flour.
Said co-founder Brooksy, “We can’t wait to open the doors on our first ever shop, it’s a total dream come true for two self-taught bakers! Baking is a genuine passion for us, we never stop thinking about our next flavour creation. The buzz of seeing our customers try our bakes in the new shop will make all the early mornings well worth it.”
The shop opening has created more than 10 new jobs in the area and Brooksy and Luke are currently recruiting for a general manager, bakers and decorators along with baristas and shop counter staff and hope to recruit locally wherever possible.
