Four men jailed for stealing cash machines from shops across London

Four men have been jailed for a total of more than 30 years after stealing cash machines from shops across London.

The following were convicted of conspiracy to commit burglary between 1 February and 8 March 2018 following a six-week trial at Woolwich Crown Court:

Patrick McInerney, 37 (02.4.1981) of Lower Road, UB9 was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment.

Kirk McInerney, 29 (5.6.1989) of Aycliffe Road, WD6 was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment.

Liam Keenan, 40 (12.9.1978) of The Nightingales, TW19 was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment.

Benn Watson, 39 (13.8.1979) of Long Lane, TW19 was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment.

Keenan and Watson were also convicted of conspiracy to steal.

Patrick and Kirk McInerney plead guilty to the same offence at an earlier hearing.

All four suspects appeared at Woolwich Crown Court on 12 October 2018 for sentencing.

During each offence the suspects rammed a vehicle into the front of a shop before stealing a standalone cash machine from within.
