Free Pints for England Fans Who Can Nail John Barnes’ World in Motion Rap at KERB Sports Bar

Think you know your England World Cup lore? KERB Sports Bar is putting fans to the test this summer by giving away free pints to anyone who can perform John Barnes’ iconic rap from World in Motion without a single mistake.

36 years (of hurt) since New Order and the England Italia ’90 squad gave the country one of its greatest tournament anthems, World in Motion remains a cult classic for England fans. The song has become part of the ritual of tournament football: the pints, the belief, the nerves, the inevitable group chat debate and, for those brave enough, the Barnes rap.

Now KERB Sports Bar wants to know who really has it down.

Running during England’s 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage fixtures, the challenge will see the first 10 customers at KERB Sports Bar to recite the full John Barnes rap, word-perfect from start to finish, win a pint on the house. No second chances. No hints. No mumbling through the hard bit and hoping your mates carry you.

To take part, fans simply need to head to the bar during any England group stage game and tell staff the secret password: “Three Lions on my chest.” From there, it is one take only. Bar staff will have the lyrics ready behind the bar, checking for false starts, fumbled lines and anyone who claims they “know it off by heart” once the pressure is on.

The prize resets for each England group stage match, with 10 free pints available every game. It means proper fans have three chances to step up, express themselves and prove they can still deliver when England need them.

The activation comes as KERB Sports Bar launches as one of London’s new World Cup watch party destinations, with every match shown live across the venue, extended hours for late kick-offs, big screens throughout and space for groups, private bookings and full venue takeovers.

Tickets for England games start from £12 and include guaranteed seating as well as a welcome drink, with guests able to choose a pint of KERB Lager, house wine or selected soft drinks. An England Season Ticket Bundle will also be available, covering all three group stage matches at a discounted rate.

KERB Sports Bar has been built for World Cup fever, with a covered open-air terrace, a high-energy Clubhouse bar, private rooms, beer towers, karaoke, pool tables and games consoles. With late-night kick-offs running through the tournament, fans can arrive early, warm up properly and stay for the full matchday.

Food will come from Only Jerkin’, serving bold Caribbean flavours and some of London’s best dressed chicken, including jerk wings, tenders and whole chargrilled chicken with sides such as cornbread with hot honey butter and coconut rice.

Behind the bar, expect draught beers including KERB’s own lager, Camden Pale and Guinness, available as pints and beer towers made for sharing. Signature cocktails include the KSC Lagerita, a frozen margarita topped with lager, alongside Spicy Passionfruit Margaritas, Hugo Spritz and Espresso Martinis.

KERB Sports Bar also offers private rooms for groups of up to 50 guests, each fitted with large screens, full sound, beer taps and games consoles. Larger rooms include pool tables and karaoke, making them ideal for World Cup watch parties, team socials and group bookings. Full venue takeovers are also available, with capacity for up to 600 guests.
