PizzaExpress Hackney will be opening its doors on Wednesday 30th November with a brand new pizzeria that will serve customers their favourite iconic pizzas in a vibrant setting.
To mark the new opening ahead of Christmas and to celebrate the much anticipated return of the brand’s Snowball Dough Ball Day, on Thursday 1st December, PizzaExpress Hackney will be running an exclusive Snowball Dough Ball stall near the new restaurant for one day only. This stall will be set up on Mare Street next to The Hackney Tap and will be open over lunchtime, from 12-3pm. Locals can head down to the stall and grab the famous Snowball Dough Balls for just £1 with all proceeds going to music therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins, PizzaExpress’ charity partner.
At the heart of the new restaurant in Hackney, the signature PizzaExpress open style kitchen allows customers to watch expert pizzaiolos create their favourite dishes from the American Hot to the classic Fiorentina right in front of them. Bringing a touch of theatre to the dining experience which locals will be used to with the Hackney Empire located just across the road.
The new restaurant brings the flavour and passion of Italian dining culture to Mare Street with stylish furnishing complemented by vibrant tiling and contemporary wooden Lignosi wall panels. Leafy green wallpaper and warming festoon lighting complete the décor, making Mare Street the fitting environment for diners looking to refuel before the theatre or to catch up with friends and family.

Snowball Dough Balls
A sweet take on the menu classic. These come dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar before being served with a choice of sweet dip.

Indulgently moreish, these Dough Balls are coated in truffle & garlic butter, then seasoned with plenty of black pepper and Gran Milano Cheese.
Carbonara Romana
A classic pasta dish reimagined in pizza form. This thin and crispy pizza is made with salty pancetta, mozzarella and garlic oil on a creamy bechamel base, topped with a free-range egg, gran Milano cheese and parsley
Mushroom & Truffle Romana
A previous best-seller, the vegetarian pizza sees mixed mushrooms joined by opulent truffle oil and three types of cheese for a full on, decadent flavour.
White Chocolate Roulade
A new luxurious White Forest Roulade with pomegranate seeds and a zingy fruit coulis – perfect after pizza
