The stage is set, and the canvas awaits as Hyde Park Winter Wonderland unveils its new School Art Competition, igniting the artistic fervour of London’s young talents!

From the tiniest Picassos to the most imaginative Michelangelos, budding creatives aged 4-14 years are invited to craft artwork that captures what ‘Winter Wonderland’ means to them. Whether it’s the leafy trees of Hyde Park or the twinkling lights and holiday treats at Winter Wonderland, the competition is now open for students to illustrate whatever it is that makes them feel festive.

The fledgling artists will have until 13th October 2023 to submit entries on the A4 Competition Canvas via post to the Winter Wonderland team, with winners being revealed on 2nd November 2023.

Judging will be led by an expert panel at The Royal Parks, who will handpick Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners from each of the four age categories: 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, and 13-14 years.

What’s in it for the champions of creativity? The twelve winners will have their artwork proudly on display throughout the full duration of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, for all the event’s visitors to enjoy. Winners will not only bask in artistic glory but will also receive fantastic prizes.

Gold Winners will be rewarded with £500 worth of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland vouchers for their school and an additional £200 worth for themselves. They’ll also snag four tickets to the Charity Preview Evening on Thursday 16th November, getting an exclusive glimpse into this season’s festivities ahead of the main event opening on Friday 17th November.

First Runner-Ups won’t miss out on the treasure trove, as Silver Winners secure £100 worth of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland vouchers for themselves. And let’s not forget our Bronze Winners, who will receive £50 worth of Winter Wonderland vouchers to enjoy their festive day out with loved ones.

Artwork is to be created on the A4 Hyde Park Winter Wonderland Art Competition Canvas in landscape, in the medium of pencil, paint or ink. Each entry must include the artist’s name, age and school name, and must be accompanied by a printed and completed consent form by each student’s parent or guardian. Entries can be submitted by post to the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland team by writing the Art Competition freepost address on the envelope: Freepost ART COMPETITION HPWW. Stamps are not required as postage is offered free of charge.

The winners will be announced on 2nd November 2023 and winning schools will be contacted via email. Visit https://hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/schools-art-competition/ to learn more and download the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland Art Competition Canvas, Consent Form, and T&C’s.
