Another day in the saga at Billericay Town FC has seen controversial owner Glenn Tamplin put the club up for sale!
Tamplin who says “he can’t take anymore” was reportedly caught snorting cocaine in the toilets following which he gave a rather uncomfortable interview to The National League at last Saturday’s defeat against Woking.
The latest move which comes after months erratic behaviour by the millionaire businessman isn’t thought to be a publicity stunt.
Tamplin has since confirmed he would be happy to accept an offer of £500,000 for his stake, if the club was left ‘in the right hands’.
After Saturday’s worrying video interview, scores took to social networking site Twitter to blast Tamplin with one viewer saying “That clown passed the FA fit and proper test. He’d struggle to pass a drugs test.”
The latest developments will be a huge blow to Tamplin was named the second most powerful person in Essex after ranking second in the Essex Power 100 list in 2017.
