With Christmas being such a special time of year for so many, Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice wants to be able to give their patients a personal and meaningful gift that matters.

It is the year-round support from the public which allows the hospice to continue to be able to care for their patients and their loved ones. The money raised from their upcoming Christmas events and fundraisers will ensure that they can continue to treat their patients with gifts that truly matter to the individual.

Whether it’s a new bed for the hospice’s ward that enables a patient to enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep, bringing families together for the festive period or the little things that matter, the hospice wants to make sure that every day is special for its patients and their loved ones.

By supporting Greenwich & Bexley’s upcoming festive events, the public can help to provide families receiving hospice care, with the chance to make memories that will last a lifetime. Any support means that the hospice team can help make a difference.

Events Manager, Augusta Adu, said: “The fundraising events we run are integral to the hospice’s ability to provide care for our patients and their families. All of the support we receive will help to give our patients a gift that matters this Christmas.

“I’d like to thank everyone for their year-round support making it possible for us to ensure Christmas is such an enjoyable time for our patients and their families.”

Some upcoming events that the public can get involved with include the Danson House Grotto, the Greenwich Grotto and the Festive Fun Run. Families and children can meet Santa at the Christmas grottos, while the Festive Fun Run is the perfect excuse to get outside with friends and family, with everyone dressed up as Santa for a fun dash around Danson Park; even dogs can get involved with this one!
