This July, Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is bringing a taste of summer to the heart of the West End with the launch of its new Lemon Sorbet IPA – an exclusive brew inspired by one of the season’s favourite desserts.
As well as by the pint or half pint, the new bright, citrus-forward beer will be available from Friday 3rd July in two creative twists. The first is the Lemon Sherbet Foam (£9), topping the beer with a tart, creamy meringue foam, a summer-inspired twist reminiscent of the head on the iconic Guinness pint, available at restaurants The Porter’s Table and Gilroy’s Loft. The second is a Frozen Lemon Sorbet IPA (£10), blending the Lemon Sorbet IPA with limoncello and fresh lemon into a frozen tipple perfect for the new season, available at Old Brewer’s Yard.
Since opening in December, Guinness Open Gate Brewery London has become a hub of creativity and innovation in brewing, with Master Brewer Hollie Stephenson creating exclusive and inventive craft brews on site throughout the seasons; from the Irish Breakfast Tea Amber Ale for St Patrick’s Day to the new Lemon Sorbet IPA, created as the perfect serve for summer, by infusing fresh lemon purée into an IPA made with lots of citrus-led, tropical hops.
Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is reimagining how visitors can enjoy Guinness this summer, whether that’s with a classic pint in the sun or by discovering new seasonal serves brewed exclusively on site.
Alongside the launch of Lemon Sorbet IPA, the brewery will also be rolling out a series of summer programming running from June through to August:
