Vietnamese street food restaurant, Pho, is helping cure the office Christmas party ‘hangxiety’ with a two-day pop-up experience in the heart of Soho that will leave guests feeling hydrated and revived during what is said to be one of the most hungover weeks of the year in the UK.

Ready to up your hangover cure game and put an end to that pounding headache? Pho has just the anecdote. On the 12th and 13th December, Pho will be serving up complimentary steaming bowls of their hangover-blasting phở and freshly squeezed juices, where visitors will also be able to enjoy a complimentary hydrating IV drip plus skincare goodies throughout the day.

The Pho-Fix experience will cater to all hangover needs from the festivities of the night before, where guests will be ‘prescribed’ an order, based on their symptoms ranging from headaches to nausea to tiredness. Instead of reaching for a typical fix, it’s time to switch it up with something wholesomely replenishing.

Vietnam’s national dish, phở has been shown to have numerous health benefits from its base of twelve-hour bone broth, tonnes of fresh herbs and spices, plus the right balance of protein, carbohydrates and vegetables. According to Healthline these benefits include reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system and providing essential nutrients and minerals, contributing to pho being the ultimate hangover food.

Pho’s fresh juice menu incorporates a healthy superblend of fruit and veg, including combinations of Apple, Mint & Lime and Carrot, Apple & Ginger. Their juices contain natural sugars so won’t cause additional spikes in blood sugar, and allows the fruit to maintain its nutritional value and help boost your immunity.

Libby Andrews, Marketing Director of Pho comments: ‘For twenty years our customers and staff have raved about our soups as their go-to hangover cure. During Christmas party season there is no better way to replenish and refuel when you’re feeling a bit worse for wear.

As part of the experience, guests will have the opportunity to rehydrate with a classic IV drip, courtesy of Effect Doctors. Dr. William Buxton, CEO of Effect Doctors comments: ‘Our carefully curated IV drips allow you to rehydrate, refresh and rejuvenate. It’s perfect for alleviating the effects of a night of heavy drinking and replenishes the essential salts in your body, offering you a way to perk up without reaching for another cup of coffee.”

After a night of free-flowing prosecco and pornstar martinis, the skin may be feeling a little more dehydrated than usual so guests will have the opportunity to regain that natural glow with complimentary products from rejuvenating skincare brand Patchology – including Restoring Eye Gels, On Ice Eye Gels and Hydrate Sheet Masks, which will combat any puffiness, fatigue and dryness.

Guests are encouraged to visit and to recuperate from their hangover symptoms, allowing them to take a break, and feel energised for the rest of the week.

The Pho-Fix pop-up will run across two days (12th-13th December) at 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 3AQ, between 11AM – 6PM and will be free to enter. The IV drips will be booked on a first come first serve basis, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
