HOME Secretary Suella Braverman is feeling “very vulnerable” and fears that she will be sacked by the Prime Minister in a reshuffle, according to Esther McVey MP.

She was commenting on reports that Braverman is generating headlines in an effort to force Rishi Sunak to replace her so she can launch a leadership bid.

The GB News presenter said: “Would you go to somebody to sack you if you really had visions of being the leader? No, you wouldn’t.

“It’s not a great platform to go forward to be leader having been sacked, because you get sacked because you’re not doing your job properly.

“If you really did want to be leader, what you’d be doing is resigning on a principle.”

Speaking to Mark Dolan, she continued: “I don’t believe in this…I think she’s feeling very vulnerable.

“I think that the immigration problem hasn’t been solved. So what she needs to do is, as she’d see it, is shore up a base, a base on the right hand side of the party, one that Rishi can’t naturally reach out to.

“What she’s saying is, you can’t get rid of me.

“There is a reshuffle coming forward and she’s saying, I’m going to be quite out there…I have to stay in.”

She added: “Having been there and seeing how it works, I’m telling you that’s what it is. She’s feeling vulnerable. She does not want the sack.”
