AN array of goodies were on offer from the team at Specsavers Hounslow to celebrate the store’s 30th anniversary.
Since first opening its doors in May 1994, Specsavers Hounslow has been providing sight and hearing care to the community.
Building on its reputation for delivering outstanding customer service and clinical care, the team celebrated in style when they reached their 30-year milestone.
During that time, an amazing 600,000 pairs of glasses have been dispensed with 800,000 sight tests being performed. Opening its doors to the High Street in Hounslow in 1994, the audiology centre has provided thousands of hearing tests and has helped many customers select the right hearing aid to suit their lifestyle and budget.
Optometrist director Tajinder Dhiman comments: ‘In any business this is an incredible achievement and a real accolade to the team of experts we have in store.
‘We are also incredibly grateful to the long-standing customer base who has stayed with us during this time. In fact, many of our customers have grown up with us and now have their own families. So, we are very grateful for their loyalty.’
Customers visiting the store also joined in the birthday celebrations, receiving goody bags, birthday offers and of course some tasty treats.
Sim Gurjal, retail director for six years, comments: ‘It is amazing to think that Specsavers Hounslow has supported the community’s eye health for 30 years, providing areas of expertise in diagnosis of eye conditions such as glaucoma, age related macular degeneration and cataracts.
‘This is a real tribute to the outstanding service delivered by every member of the team, including our retail store colleagues, the laboratory team and clinicians. We’re looking forward to the next decade and being the first port of call for the Hounslow community.’
Specsavers Hounslow offers customers access to state-of-the-art pre-room testing diagnostic equipment, including a visual fields analyser and OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) examination. The OCT, which is hospital grade advanced diagnostic, eye-scanning equipment, helps detect serious eye conditions, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, up to four years earlier than traditional methods, and is currently on offer at the reduced price of just £5.
There is also a dedicated audiology centre, which offers a soundproof booth for customers to have their hearing tested, coupled with the latest micro-suction equipment for wax removal. Audiology director, Aman Sharma comments: ‘It’s incredible that we have been providing audiology care across Hounslow since 1994, our patients keep coming back, which is something we are all very proud of.
I’d encourage anyone to pop in for a hearing test if they notice their day-to-day conversations are becoming a little more strained, especially when in a more social situation. It’s better to pick up a potential condition earlier, when it is more treatable – we offer audiology clinics Monday to Saturday.’
Extensive sight testing services are available, with 41 weekly clinics,11 test rooms, dedicated diagnostic testing areas and specific contact lens stations offering enhanced facilities to customers.
