UK charity Human Appeal announces the launch and lineup for its ninth annual Comedy Takeover tour, set to take place in 17 venues across 10 cities nationwide from the 15th to the 31st December.

This year, the much-loved comedy tour will raise funds for Human Appeal’s Gaza emergency relief campaign. Throughout its history, the UK Human Appeal Comedy Takeover tour has raised nearly £10 million that supported a range of humanitarian relief efforts at home and abroad.

The tour will take place in Glasgow, Leeds, Blackburn, Bradford, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Manchester, Luton, Slough and six locations across London. A full list of locations and dates can be found below.

Returning to the lineup is veteran UK comic and star of Man Like Mobeen Tez Ilyas. He is joined by Azeem Muhammad, who takes part in the Comedy Takeover for the first time.
Also returning to this year’s Comedy Takeover are Ali Official, best known for his BBC Three comedy Muzlamic and for presenting the documentary Being British Bangladeshi, and Aatif Nawaz, who will be marking his eighth consecutive appearance at the Takeover. Joining them on the billing for the first time following this year’s Edinburgh Fringe is South Africa’s Riaad Moosa.

Tickets are now available here. Early bird tickets are available for a limited time only, starting at just at £10.

Zaheer Khan, Director of Fundraising, Human Appeal comments, “The Comedy Takeover tour is always one of Human Appeal’s most popular events in the UK, as it ends the year on a positive note even as the proceeds go to support people in urgent need of humanitarian relief. This year’s lineup is a brilliant mix of seasoned Takeover veterans alongside fresh faces providing a great evening out with something for everyone.”
