The ELLE Decoration British Design Awards is an annual event to celebrate the innovation and creativity of the UK’s most talented designers.
The event took place at the Ennismore Sessions House in Clerkenwell on 13 February with Editor of ELLE Decoration Ben Spriggs presenting the awards – including Designers of the Year, Doshi Levien and Best New Designer, Yinka Ilori
The winners are:
Yinka Ilori, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Best New Designer
Jordan Mould, brand director of Kirby Design, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Fabric with the Arco Geometrics collection.
Benjamin Hubert, founder and creative director of Layer, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Seating with Tape for Moroso.
Vicky Sanders, print designer, collects the award on behalf of Matthew Williamson, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Wallcovering with the Deya collection for Osborne & Little.
Bethan Gray, creative director of Bethan Gray, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Tableware with the Victoria tea set for Editions Milano.
Scott Barwick, studio director at Barber & Osgerby, collects the Outdoor award on behalf of Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, winners of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 with the Brea collection for Dedon.
Neha Mehta, senior designer, collects the award on behalf of Fran Hickman, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Best Interior Designer.
Paul Brookes, managing director EMEA & chief digital officer for Tom Dixon collects the award on behalf of Tom Dixon, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Bathroom with the Spot Surface.
Oona Bannon and Russell Pinch, founder and creative director of Pinch, winners of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Bedroom with the Moreau collection
Multidisciplinary designer Bethan Laura Wood, winner of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Floorcovering with the Super Fake rugs for CC-Tapis.
Tommaso Iotti, head of kitchen and cabinetry at Linley, collects the award for Kitchens on behalf of David Linley, Earl of Snowdon, at the ELLE Decoration British Design Awards 2019.
Mike Holland, head of Industrial design at Foster + Partners, and Sean Sutcliffe, founder of Benchmark, collect the award for Furniture design at the ELLE Decoration British Design Awards 2019 for their Ovo collaboration.
Amy Dollamore, head of communications at Lee Broom collects the award for Lighting for Lee Broom’s Eclipse collection at the ELLE Decoration British Design Awards 2019.
Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, founders of the design studio Doshi Levien, winners of the ELLE Decoration British Design Award 2019 for Designers of the Year.
