UK insurance giant Allianz is celebrating having raised a huge £1m for children’s charity Barnardo’s since its partnership began in 2024.

Allianz staff from across the UK have raised the money which will be used to support the children, young people and families that Barnardo’s works with.

As well as raising funds, Allianz UK has also taken on several pieces of pro-bono work for Barnardo’s, and its employees have rolled up their sleeves to volunteer across the organisation from helping out children’s services to Barnardo’s shops around the UK.

Allianz has also sponsored Barnardo’s events, including the charity’s annual Young Supporters Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. This saw more than 1,200 young people come and sing together to raise vital funds for the children and young people Barnardo’s support.
Support to help get young people onto the employment ladder has been another highlight of the partnership so far via the ‘Hello Future You’ event, held at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham in 2025.

This saw 200 young people who use Barnardo’s services take part in workshops such as CV writing, interview readiness, and networking skills. This comes at a particularly relevant time, with a recent government report showing that around 1 million young people across the UK are not in jobs, training or education.

Allianz will continue to work with Barnardo’s in the future, with plans for a repeat of ‘Hello Future You’ this October.

Lynn Perry, Chief Executive of Barnardo’s, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful people at Allianz for all their hard work in making this a truly successful partnership.
“The money Allianz have raised will help us to create safer, happier childhoods for the hundreds of thousands of children and young people we support. Everyone who took part should feel very proud.
“Hello Future You! was the largest partner-led event Barnardo’s has ever had, and we’re very excited to do it all again this October, because right now, young people need that support and guidance to navigate the increasingly tricky world of employment.”

Colm Holmes, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz UK, said: “Reaching the £1 million milestone for Barnardo’s, six months ahead of plan, is an extraordinary achievement and one I am incredibly proud of. It shows what we can accomplish when we come together behind a purpose that truly matters — helping Barnardo’s improve the lives of children, young people and families facing poverty and hardship across the UK.
“I want to thank our employees, brokers, suppliers and partners for the enthusiasm, generosity, and commitment you’ve shown throughout this partnership. Every fundraiser, volunteering moment and event has helped make a genuine difference to the families Barnardo’s supports.
“With six months still to go, I encourage everyone to keep getting involved, keep fundraising and keep supporting this wonderful cause so we can make an even greater impact together.”
