Nathan Sussex has been lighting up our screens in one of the UK’s most popular soaps since January. Starring as Buster Smith, he has enjoyed playing out some shocking storylines which have mirrored some of the football coach grooming that has recently been uncovered in the UK.
Although charming Buster has an evil side and is happy to throw others under the bus to hide his nasty secret. Buster Smith’s outrageous behaviour has had fans talking and have ensured Sussex has built up an impressive fan base.
The award winning soap Hollyoaks was first broadcast on Channel 4 in 1995 and has been a firm fixture ever since. The programme is set in the fictional suburb of Chester called Hollyoaks, but is filmed in Liverpool. This wonderful show is popular around the world and has won a whole host of awards.
Nathan has worked extensively in Film and TV with roles in Da Vinci’s Demons, Judge John Deed, Coronation Street, Doctors and Emmerdale. This talented actor played the title role in the BAFTA winning film Nadger and appeared in the BAFTA winning BBC drama CARE. His recent films include the IRIS prize winning film D & Pansy and Tom Gateley’s Laura, which premiered at Cannes.
Sussex can currently be seen as Buster Smith on C4’s Hollyoaks and will soon be seen playing Ioan in the new feature Last Summer, directed by Jon Jones.
