With a career spanning over two decades in fashion and entertainment, Melanie Jones might not be a name you may have heard of but the Londoner is now dubbed one of the most influential women in the local media circles.
Jones now splits her time between running a busy PR agency, being an editor for a series of news networks and arranging an annual awards event and running UK power lists, we took a look at her profile to find out more.
Firstly, Jones is the Director of the EssexTV Awards, a role she was appointed to in summer 2018. As part of her role she is thought to be responsible for “every aspect” of arranging the annual awards.
She secondly runs her busy PR agency, Melanie Jones PR which services a mixture of business and personal clients around the UK.
Her tertiary duties fall within the news field where she is the Editor of Essex Magazine and EssexTV News.
As if all of that is now enough, Jones is the head honcho at UKPower100 who put together power lists such as Essex Power 100, London Power 100 and Brighton Power 100. As Chair of UKPower 100, She oversees the appointment of judges and the President’s for these lists and is responsible for spearheading the organisation behind lists celebrating the most influential people across various fields and demographic locations.
A firm believer in giving back, Jones is active on the arts charity scene and currently serves as a trustee at London’s Union Dance Trust.
