Fans of the London-based Instagram page All on the Board can join the masked duo behind the creative Underground information boards live on London Transport Museum’s Instagram on Monday 7 December 2020 at 20:00 as they chat to the Museum’s Documentary Curators, Ellie Miles and Rosamund West, about how their story began and where it has taken them.

For Londoners, the sight of the instantly recognisable All on the Board information boards became part and parcel of people’s daily commute on the Tube. Often including creative messages, inspiring poems and uplifting quotes, the boards capture the mood of the moment and have tackled a huge variety of topics from marking important anniversaries and celebrating heroes to discussing mental health and hidden illnesses.

Preferring to keep their identity a closely guarded secret, the wordsmith duo known by the monikers N1 (Noone) and E1 (Everyone) or, together, NE1 (Anyone), have been on a mission to bring a smile to the faces of Londoners who stumble across their boards whilst travelling around the Capital. But there is no denying the pair have struck a chord with people the world over with more than 600,000 loyal social media followers now watching their journey.

Supported by funding from Arts Council England, London Transport Museum’s Documentary Curators collect exceptional and everyday stories, objects and experiences of transport in London today. Their Instagram live interview with the All on the Board duo follows the launch of All On The Board: Inspirational Quotes from the TfL Underground Duo. Published by Yellow Kite the book is available for £14.99. A perfect gift in time for Christmas.

The Instagram live with will last for approximately one hour and will include the opportunity for people to ask questions. To submit a question ahead of time, email [email protected] and the hosts will aim to get through as many as possible.

London Transport Museum is currently closed in line with the Government guidelines but will reopen on 3 December with a line-up of winter festivities for people to enjoy, from stunning seasonal poster displays to a cosy winter wonderland den for family story times and visits from Santa.
