The Natural History Museum is hosting a FREE late-night event on Friday 20 October, exploring the intricate relationship between fashion and our natural world.
Lates: Fashion (r)Evolution promises guests an itinerary of interactive, stimulating and thought-provoking activities, from a fierce and sustainable catwalk show to world-leading Museum scientists chatting about the species that have inspired catwalk couture.
Many around the world are working to change fashion’s relationship with nature and throughout the night visitors can also expect to hear from the Museum scientists, artists and sustainable designers who are helping enact this change.
The late-night programme is further jam-packed with bespoke collection tours; interactive sustainability, textile and craft workshops sessions; and a pre-loved clothes swap pop-up.
Talya Best-Forbes, Community and Youth Engagement Manager at the Natural History Museum, says: “How often do you think about clothes? We think about them quite a bit, and with that in mind we’re excited to produce our final Lates of 2023; Lates: Fashion (r)Evolution. An evening full of entertaining and insightful activities, the Museum’s world-class scientists, educators and special guests will bring together the fashion industry and the natural world, whilst challenging all who attend to think more about how our clothes are made, whether they are sustainable, and how to be creative with what we have.”
