Lidl GB has confirmed that its new supermarket on Hospital Road in Hounslow will open for the first time on Saturday 26th February.

The store opening times will be between 8am – 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sunday, delivering Lidl’s offering of fresh, quality and great value produce.

During the first week of opening customers will be able to find exclusive deals and offers on selected products on opening day including a Flymo Turbo Lite 250 Lawnmower (£29.99), a Philips Shaver and Groomer (£24.99), and a Go Kart (£24.99) – all perfect things to put a Spring in your step!

Part of the company’s ongoing £1.3bn expansion and regeneration plans across Great Britain for 2021 and 2022, the store will create around 40 new jobs for the local community. The new supermarket will feature a sales area of 902m² and feature facilities including an in-store bakery as well as ample parking for cars and bicycles.

The new store will be providing surplus produce and customer donations to several local charities, including Storehouse FoodBank (part of Riverside Vineyard Church) and Food With Love C.I.C., who redistribute food to those in the local community in need. This is delivered through Lidl’s Feed it Back scheme, which is run in partnership with Neighbourly and connects Lidl stores up and down the country with local charities, foodbanks, community cafes and kitchens, putting quality food surplus to good use every day.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Mike Devine, commented: “It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome everyone into our new store in Hounslow Town Centre. The opening will mark the completion of our third project in the London Borough of Hounslow since November following the re-opening of our Feltham store as well as the opening of our new Bullsbridge store. The three projects combined have generated in excess of 100 new jobs for local residents, and we’re proud to pay one of the highest wages in the industry. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have played a part in delivering this new store and are delighted to be able to invest further into the local economy.”

As per the latest government guidance, while no longer legally required, it is recommended that those who can, continue to wear face coverings in crowded or indoor spaces, including when visiting our stores in England. Across all our stores, dedicated cleaning stations at entrances, hand sanitiser, and protective screens at checkouts will also remain in place.
