Linards Zarins is a Latvian-born, Spanish-based singer and songwriter whose mix of pop and R&B vocals has led him to grow a sizable and engaged following. On April 12th, 2019, he released his debut single “Good Thing”, a sultry pop-summer track produced by platinum-selling producer Daniel Calvin.
The song became a viral hit overnight amassing over 300k streams in less than a week on Spotify and was featured on the Pop Trending Playlist alongside the likes of Billie Eilish, Khalid, and Diplo. “Good Thing” stands as a testament to the growth and maturation that Linards has gone through over recent years. Musically, his distinct sound samples elements from urban, pop, Latin, electric, and dance genres that carve a chill yet upbeat atmosphere for listeners.
Originally gaining exposure on a nationwide talent show in his home country, Linards would build on the momentum from it through a slew of widely acclaimed covers of artists such as Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and more.
In one video covering The Chainsmokers and Kelsea Ballerini’s song, “This Feeling”, Linards amassed over 6 million views. He has a rapidly growing presence on Instagram with 576k followers as of April 2019. On Instagram, Linards consistently uploads content, interacts with fans, and uses it as a tool to contact and collaborate with artists from around the world.

You’ve just released your new single “Good Thing” – how has the reception been towards the new track?
It’s been really great journey so far since I released my debut single “Good Thing”. Today I amassed over 1 Million streams on Spotify, got noticed by many A&Rs and of course the traffic of people are going crazy. I’m really happy with the results. So far the song has entered the radio charts across the United States on AC/Hot AC Top 40 and National Radio Hits.
What was the writing process like for the single Good Thing?
To be honest, it was a lot of fun. I wrote this song together with my producer from Denmark (Daniel Calvin). In this song I wanted to spotlight my past relationships: Love, heartbreak, joy, and longing for something more, when it comes to whirlwind romances that are dear and close to our hearts, we tend to be hypnotized by the object of our desire. I lay my heart on the table and reflect on the array of emotions that i felt in my past relationships. As with all intimate connections, there are moments of pure happiness and bliss, times of soul-crushing stress and sadness, and all of the passion, pride, and excitement in between. The underlying message that I communicate with listeners is that through all the emotional turmoil that comes in relationships to keep going no matter how down we feel because with every low comes a high in the future, that is just how the universe works. Ultimately, what I share in “Good Thing” is how the painful lessons learned from past relationships prepares us for the beauty that will blossom from those awaiting us in the near future.
Do you often find that your music is a reflection of your past and growing up as well as the members?
I think my music will tell listeners more about me than I will. Every single experience I’ve been going through in my life is reflected in it.
Is it important for you to write about your past within your music?
I think a real Artist reflects his emotions, life experiences, point of view. I wrote how I felt, how I feel and where I see myself going through every journey that I’ve been through and what comes in my mind.
Is there going to be a music video for the new track? (We hope so)
Currently I am working on it. I really love what I am doing right now and these are my first steps in this industry. There might be official music video for “Good Thing”.

The time will tell, but of course I would love to and really looking forward for it.
