To celebrate the strength of those who take part in the London Marathon, Barrecore is offering a free 55-minute BarreRESTORE class, to those who complete the race this year. Available at any of Barrecore’s 10 London studios between Sunday 28th April and Sunday 12th May.
With all the effort that goes into running the race, many may neglect the serious recovery work that is needed on the body following the 26.2 miles. Pounding the London pavements will leave joints and muscles aching for days and active recovery is widely considered one of the best options for helping the body recuperate quickly following the gruelling challenge.
Barrecore’s specially designed rehab element of BarreRESTORE includes a unique combination of fascial release techniques and lengthening stretches, to aid muscle recovery and ease any stiffness, aches or pains as well as increasing flexibility. This will encourage muscles to elongate, detoxify and ultimately become more flexible. BarreRESTORE also includes effective breathing techniques to relieve tension, manage cortisol and help calm the body.
Niki Rein, founder of Barrecore says; “Completing the London Marathon is a really meaningful fitness goal, but all that stress and tension on joints and muscles can have long-lasting effects on the body. Many runners neglect recovery following a big event and Barrecore is the perfect complementary low-impact workout for those looking for prehab and rehab elements in their recovery regime. We look forward to seeing the racegoers in our studios in the coming few weeks.”
To book one complimentary session, London Marathon finishers simply need to present their 2019 medal to their local Barrecore studio, and the team will set up a complimentary BarreRESTORE session for them. For further details, please visit the website or contact [email protected]
