London designers work in unison to bring Autumn to Brook Street early

Two unique exhibitions showcasing the excellence and philosophy behind craftsmanship are to be held in synchrony this week, to celebrate of the arrival of Autumn.

Curated in unison by two of London’s finest designers, Secretcape and Sahrai Milano, ‘Autumn on Brook Street’ will see each of their neighbouring, Mayfair showrooms undergo an autumnal transformation, bringing to life the sources of the earth and awakening each of the five human senses.

Every finer detail, from the floors right through to the fragrances and sounds, will be manipulated to bring the outdoors to life across the two venues.

With a view to creating bridges between all disciplines around the same level of luxury, Secretcape and Sahrai made the decision to work in unison, hosting separate exhibitions as one exquisite event.

CEO of Secretcape, Mathilde Allibe said: “Secretcape is about creating an ‘art of living’ retreat, while keeping it a secret, but we saw Autumn as the perfect opportunity to share a little part of that secret with the world.

“Sahrai Milano, our trusted neighbour and friend, share that same philosophy with us and so we decided to work in unison to invite guests to uncover a little part of our grand corner of Brook Street.”

Founded in 2008 by interior designer, Mathilde Allibe, Secretcape is a Maison of Design offering fine architectural and interior design services for those looking to create a unique and personal universe.

Over the past 11 years, the company has decorated and designed homes for some of the richest people in the world and is at the frontline of exclusive luxury.

To ensure that the entire voyage will represent the “savoir-faire”, the excellence and the culture that Secretcape and Sahrai value, a bespoke collection of interiors curated by some of the world’s most meticulous artisans and craftsmen have been carefully sourced.

These include talents such as Fameed Khalique, Swarovski, Full Grown, Rare Tea Company, Lalique, Bowers & Wilkins, Flux London and Grant Macdonald.

Other talents to be showcased throughout the Secretcape Exhibition will include Altfield, Anka Metals, Anysia Nefissi, Atega, Atoa Life, , Bulthaup, Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Charlotte Kidger, Dal Furlo, Downers Design, Eterne, Holly Hunt, Julia Rodrigues, Material Concept, Michelle Mckinney, MS Lighting Design, Nude Glass, oOumm, Polkra, Rachel Dein, Sahco, Frédéric Saulou, Stevensons of Norwich, Spectra space, Strongbase, The Invisible Collection, Tiago Esteves and The Urban Electric Company.

Phedra Ghalebeigi of Sahrai Milano said: “We are delighted to be co-hosting this unique event with Secretcape.

“We want to show the world that knotting a rug by hand is a very meticulous craft, so one of Sahrai’s talented craftsmen will be doing a live demonstration of rug knotting during the evening reception.”

Sahrai Milano, are a luxury rug brand in existence since 1830, whose internal design studio create synergies that meet the most demanding needs of the market, preserving the intrinsic elegance of an item of home furnishing by giving it a special touch.

They combine the know-how of carpet weaving originated in Orient, with the refined Occidental Interiors of Italy, to harmoniously serve the global interior design world with their exclusive handmade rug collections.

Over the last 3 decades, Sahrai Milano has supplied some of the most exquisite residential properties, hotels and resorts in the world, with its creations.

Each brands’ shared passion for artisanship, quality and luxury has allowed them to create a truly exquisite voyage that will both inspire and educate guests long after the last farewell.

Mathilde added: “We envisage that each of our exhibitions will embark guests on a truly magical, self-discovering journey to find themselves and allow them to indulge in each of the carefully created atmospheres.”

Secretcape’s ‘open-house’ exhibition will take place between 9 and 13 September 09.00 am to 17.00 pm, at their showroom on Brook Street, Mayfair, with an invitation-only reception taking place at 18.00 pm on Thursday 12 September.

The Sahrai Exhibition will take place at their neighbouring showroom and will be open during the entire week from 10.30 am to 19.00 pm, with a special live artisanal performance taking place on the evening of the 12th.
