London Dungeon launches new Escape Room

The London Dungeon is daring its guests to go one step further when it comes to getting immersed in London’s darkest history as it launches its brand-new Guy Fawkes-themed escape room.

The South Bank attraction is launching a new paid experience, which will see guests locked in the Tower of London, where they have been sentenced to be tortured and hanged. Why you ask? Well, they’ve been found guilty of conspiring against the King with none other than the treasonous Guy Fawkes, having got embroiled in his failed gunpowder plot.

Guests will have 60 minutes to ‘escape’ the cell from the moment they are locked in and will be put to the test with a series of clues left behind by Guy Fawkes to guide them through logical-based puzzles and other physical elements. But beware, as the London Dungeon’s Prison Guard will be routinely conducting checks of the cells, and you don’t want to get caught trying to escape!

A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “Our shows have been designed to put the bravest to the test and see our guests be immersed in London’s darkest history. But this time, we decided to take the experience one step further and put our guests right at the heart of the action with this new escape room experience. We cannot wait to see our guests discover this new spinechilling experience and see how many will make it out of the royal prison in time to avoid final execution!”

The London Dungeon’s new experience is the UK’s only escape room with a ride and will be opening to the public on April 3. The escape room will be available for guests to book as teams of 2 to 6 people for £120 per game. It is recommended players are aged 12+ to make the most out of the escape room experience.

For all thrills and scare seekers out there, the London Dungeon also offers 16 terrifying shows and thrilling rides bringing the city’s deepest and darkest history to life, delivering ample scream-drenched stories and fear-inducing shocks for an experience that guests will never forget. From Jack the Ripper and Sweeney Todd to Witch executions and courtrooms, the London Dungeon has it all to put the most daring of guests to the ultimate test.
