The lastminute.com London Eye has revealed it will glitter in gold and red on Sunday 22nd January to celebrate Chinese New Year 2023 – the most important cultural celebration observed in China and by the Chinese community in London and around the world.

To see in the Year of the Rabbit the London Eye will light up in the auspicious colours of the New Year – red, believed to bring good fortune, and glowing gold, signifying wealth – shining out over London to wish everyone and their loved ones a prosperous, happy and healthy year ahead.

The Year of the Rabbit symbolises hope and long life. People born in the year of the rabbit are believed to be clever, compassionate and generous.

Imran Tauqir, General Manager at the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “As one of London’s most iconic landmarks we’re proud to join the Chinese community and fellow Londoners in celebrating the coming of the Year of the Rabbit. We hope our light up spreads hope and happiness across the city to all those celebrating this time-honoured Chinese tradition. And wish you all prosperity and wealth for 2023.”
