London projects and people nominated for prestigious planning awards

Fourteen projects, plans and people in London are in the running to win an award or commendation at the RTPI London Ceremony of the Royal Town Planning Institute Awards for Planning Excellence 2022.

The RTPI represents 27,000 planning professionals worldwide and promotes spatial planning, shapes policy and raises professional standards. The South West have been presenting awards in the region for over 30 years to recognise the power of planning in creating exceptional places and protecting our environment.

Awards for 2022 will be presented for:

Best Project (this is the winner of seven project categories)
Head Planner of the Year
Local Authority of the Year
Small Planning Consultancy of the Year
Young Planner of the Year
London’s Chair’s Award for Community Engagement

We will announce this category winner on the night
The London winners will be announced on the 14 July at the RTPI London Awards for Planning Excellence Ceremony at Dentons Law Firm. The London presentations of the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2022 are sponsored by Dentons Law Firm, Quod and Countryside.

RTPI London winners and top scoring entries will go through to the National Ceremony, where the Nations and Regions winning and top scoring entries across all 15 categories will become national finalists in October. The prestigious event will reward and celebrate the very best in planning at a ceremony in central London on 30 November. The silver jubilee cup will also be awarded to the project deemed the most outstanding of all the winning projects.
