The worlds of luxury property and fine cognac combined at an exclusive tasting and networking event held on Park Lane. Sobha Realty, the leading multinational premium real estate developer, hosted an intimate event of cognac tasting and canapés in partnership with premium cognac brand Louis XIII of Rémy Martin. The successful joint event marks the first of Sobha Realty‘s new event platform, Sobha Signature Series, which is bringing a selection of curated lifestyle events to Mayfair’s most discerning guests.
Held at the newly launched Sobha Global Studio at 92 Park Lane, the event welcomed guests from leading international lifestyle, vehicle and wealth management companies alongside ultra-high-net-worth individuals. The studio was transformed to showcase the iconic Louis XIII crystal decanter in harmony with Sobha Realty‘s impressive scale model of their flagship community in Dubai, Sobha Hartland.
The guests included directors and leading representatives from; private bank Coutts; premium car manufacturer Rolls Royce; private members’ club Crown Aspinal; wealth management company Falcon Wealth; Swiss watch maker Jaeger LeCoultre; investment office Signia Wealth; estate agency Montague Properties; investment bank Cazenove & Co.; and British gunmaker Purdey & Co.
A representative of Louis XIII guided the cognac tasting as guests enjoyed canapés and discussed the luxury community and unique properties available at Sobha Hartland.
Sobha Hartland is a luxury waterfront community in Dubai located just seven minutes’ drive from the Burj Khalifa. The £3 billion (GDV) scheme will deliver beautiful residences, world-class amenities and greenery. Sobha Realty is also offering discerning purchasers a unique opportunity to buy and bespoke build a waterfront villa or mansion fronting directly onto the Dubai Water Canal, the only villa plots available directly on the water front, available by invitation only.
The newly launched Sobha Signature Series includes a highly-anticipated programme of curated lifestyle events over the coming months, which showcase fine art, jewellery and premium cars, all inspired by the precision and passion behind Sobha‘s residences in Dubai.
On display during the evening were some of Louis XIII’s finest bottles of cognac, including one Jeroboam bottle that can cost up to £22,000 and comes with an invitation to visit the Chateau itself. Louis XIII is a brand of cognac produced by Rémy Martin, which is renowned for their selecting, blending and ageing of extraordinary eaux-de-vies which derive from Grande Champagne vineyards in Cognac.
The partnership reflects both brands’ dedication to fine details and celebrating their heritage. The Sobha brand can trace its origins back to 1976 when it was established in Oman as a bespoke furniture fit out establishment which evolved into a premium interior design business. By 1984 the business had established a reputation for uncompromising quality, and this led to involvement in various high-profile projects in Oman including the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Al Bustan Palace Hotel.
The Louis XIII brand has been produced by Rémy-Martin since Paul-Emile Rémy-Martin began bottling his family’s cognac rather than selling it in barrels, with the iconic decanter shape created in 1874 in honour of the House’s 150th anniversary. Each crystal decanter is handmade by French crystal manufacturers: Baccarat, Saint-Louis, and Cristallerie de Sèvres.
