This autumn sees the launch of London’s first Vegan Comedy Festival – a brand new vegan event debuting in town, at the prestigious Kensington Town Halls.
A 2 day orgy of comedy and music plus extensive vegan food & drink to bring alive some of the best of the growing vegan artiste collective in the UK right now.
And everyone is welcome – vegan or not!
Tickets for the first London Vegan Comedy Festival are now on sale prices at just £20 for the whole weekend and the line-ups have been announced, with Tom Ward, Carl Donnelly and Lee Brace among the comedians featuring at this 2 day event on September 30th and October 1st.
Award-winning character comedian and UK Pun Champion 2023 Lee Brace is very much looking forward to performing on the Saturday, as goofy alter ego ‘Dawn Chorus’.
Lee says,
“People have referred to ‘vegan comedy’ as an oxymoron. You know, a bit like ‘humane slaughter’. But vegan comedy exists and it’s plant-wettingly funny!’
Musicians for the weekend include Mark Janicello, Vegan Queen V, Barbara Helen, JoJo and Giles Bryant are gracing the stage with a total of around 15 musicians and 20 comedians already announced for the weekend.
Added to this is a massive selection of tantalizing vegan food options, a licensed bar, teas & coffee and lots of cake, mocktails, cocktails, juice bars and some truly inspiring independent vegan traders exhibiting at the show.
Visitors are set to have a fun day or weekend in the heart of the West End, whilst supporting a growing collective of artistes and performers as well as independent vegan traders – what’s not to like?
Plus there’s a free gift on entry for all visitors – and tickets are on Buy One Get One Half Price for a limited period!
VegfestUK the organisers say:
‘The vegan artiste collective was on the rise pre lockdown however like a lot of artistic and performing collectives, have had a torrid time this last few years. Thats all changing now and we are simply thrilled to be hosting around 35 individuals and acts across the weekend in the easily accessible central London venue.
Add in all the vegan cake and superb plant based food options & we’re laughing (!) and everyone is welcome, be they vegan, pretty much plant based, flexitarian, vegan curious – or full on omni – you’re guaranteed a welcome and a laugh and some terrific food!’
