London’s original drive in, Drive In Film Club, opens at two new sites: Brent Cross and Sandown

Start the countdown and get off your sofa for your first big screen movie night of the year, as Drive In Film Club announces its re-opening with two new sites: on a fifth floor rooftop at Brent Cross Shopping Centre on April 12th and at Sandown Racecourse on April 15th; alongside its return to Alexandra Palace on April 13th. Following last year’s stellar season at Alexandra Palace, the team behind London’s favourite sky-high cinema – Rooftop Film Club, Drive In Film Club is back. Tickets go on sale from Thursday 18th March and are available at www.DriveInFilmClub.com.

Join us on the road to excitement as Drive In Film Club cranks up the heat across two new sites. We’ll be screening a brand new catalogue of films, with something for everyone, from horror fanatics to rom-com lovers. The spring season kicks off with a selection of new and recently released films. Dive into thrilling stories with a hint of humour in our opening week with Pixie and Misbehaviour: the perfect day out for families to finish the Easter holidays on a high.

Or take a trip back in time with our 80’s themed week when guests are invited to dust off their shoulder pads, run a comb through their mullet and come in their best 80s get-up to be in with the chance of winning an 80s hamper complete with Babycham and Space Invaders to enjoy during the film. Viewers can lose themselves in cult classics like E.T, Nightmare on Elm Street and Back To The Future while neon-clad skaters do their best Starlight Express impressions.

To celebrate St George’s Day, Drive In Film Club will kick off London Classics Week on 23rd April, bringing movies produced and inspired by the UK’s capital to the big screen. Customers will be challenged to pimp their rides St George’s Day style to be in with a chance of winning an afternoon tea delivered to their car door, skating knights will be on hand to deliver the cinema snacks and there’ll be quintessentially English props for all to get into the patriotic spirit. The movie medley includes classics such as Notting Hill and Paddington, to transport you to your favourite London landmarks.
Bringing the positive vibes straight to your car, Drive In Film Club’s Feel Good Week from May 3rd will be screening films such as Clueless to provide you with all the fun and nostalgic feels we’ve been missing.

Drive In Film Club is also inviting doggy pals to join in the fun as we celebrate National Pet Month on Sunday 2nd May – customers can expect delightful doggy treats for their four legged friends (who knew you could get popcorn for pups?!), and you can expect some comedy canine costumes on our always-game skaters . Families can enjoy some of the most loved movies starring our furry friends such as Ratatouille and Scoob! for the perfect day out to share with your perfect pooch and to kick off the spring season.

Guests will be able to bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy during their movie, or order concessions, hot food and drinks straight to your car, delivered by a team of speedy skaters. All orders are placed online and will be dropped off outside customers’ car doors to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to. Drive In Film Club will be hosting monthly screenings to support the London Youth Charity and visitors will be able to give a donation at checkout for any online purchases.

Drive In Film Club’s line up of films provide big screen thrills from the security, safety and comfort of your own car. All visitors must be from one household or social bubble and all transactions on site will be contactless. Restrooms with extra sanitisation procedures will also be available.
