London’s leading River Bus service, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, will return to service post-lockdown on Thursday 3 December 2020* to help Londoners safely travel through the capital. Enjoy December festivities with views of the city from the river, contactless journeys, fresh air throughout, room for up to 20 bikes on board and naturally more space! Travelling by River Bus, there are great destinations along the Thames to provide much-needed Christmas cheer.

Disembark at Embankment Pier for Miracle, a Christmas-themed pop-up bar, renowned for its creative cocktails garnished with a side of kitsch. Miracle at Henrietta provides the perfect pitstop for a cocktail, with ‘substantial meal’-friendly menu, and a chance to embrace the Christmas craziness that consumes the capital. Reminiscent of a chalet living room on Christmas Eve, stockings will be hung, fairy lights strung, and the Christmas tree will take centre stage. Must-try cocktails include the Snowball Old Fashioned, Christmapolitan, Run Run Rudolph and Gingerbread Flip. While in Covent Garden, take in the Christmas lights along the way and marvel at the iconic 60-foot Christmas tree, decorated with over 30,000 lights.

Fancy whizzing around one of London’s prettiest UNESCO World Heritage sites? South London’s only outdoor ice rink is back in front of Greenwich’s resplendent Queen’s House – and this year it’ll be even bigger, which means more space for social distancing. Disembark at Greenwich Pier to glide along the ice while taking in the sweeping views of the River Thames and Greenwich Royal Park. For safety, there will be staggered skating sessions, enhanced cleaning, and handwashing facilities.

What would Christmas be without a Christmas movie? Disembark at Battersea Power Station Pier for the Archlight Cinema, which will be reopening its doors on 4 December – putting on some of the best Christmas classics. Escape to faraway lands and get into the spirit of Christmas with Archlight Cinema. Movie highlights include Home Alone, It’s a Wonderful Life and Elf.

Disembark at North Greenwich Pier for The O2 and head to Icon Outlet (now open) to shop for Christmas gifts for your loved ones during its biggest ever sale with savings of up to 80% off RRP. Plus, extended opening hours have been introduced for December, open most days from 10am-9pm. While at The O2, enjoy an outdoor climb at Up at The O2, bowling at Hollywood Bowl and a photo experience at Selfie Factory with sets including a pink London tube train, a rainbow room, and a donut wall.

For the relaunch of service, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers will be operating to the same pre-lockdown bespoke timetable. Measures continue to be in place to support social distancing at piers and on board the vessels, as well as an enhanced cleaning regime.
