Fresh handmade cosmetics company, Lush, is giving away products from its new magnesium range this weekend, to help London Marathon runners recover, and get back on their feet after a gruelling 26.2 mile race.
Several of Lush’s London stores will be giving away two hero products from the brand’s new magnesium range, which has been specifically designed by Lush co-founder and 25 time marathon runner, Helen, and sports masseuse, Nikki.
Lush stores taking part include: Oxford Street, Paddington Station, Waterloo Station and Victoria Station. Each store will be giving away Lush’s After Magnesium Massage Bar (worth £10) this Sunday – a packaging-free alternative to massage oil which melts on contact with the skin, created to help ease and recover aching muscles.
Lush will also be gifting London Marathon completers its new Salt Water Soother Epsom Salt Cube (worth £5) – a bath bomb with a difference, packed full of magnesium and 40% Epsom salts for a soothing bath. Packaging-free, self-preserving and handmade fresh in the UK, this magnesium-powered product is a runner’s BFF after a hard race!
Magnesium is thought to help aid recovery, alleviate joint stiffness and delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) by aiding the body’s natural process of removing waste products after exercise, such as lactic acid – this makes it a great material to include in a cool-down massage, or a well-deserved bath.
All marathon runners have to do to redeem their free magnesium goodies is head to Lush Oxford Street, Paddington, Waterloo or Victoria on Sunday 23 April between 12pm and 6pm and show their London Marathon 2023 medal at the till.
*For medal holders only this Sunday 23 April, while stocks last.
