Wayne Hughes, Senior General Manager, and Solomon Imafidon, Care Practitioner, from Magnolia Court Care Home in Child’s Hill, Hampstead, are preparing to take on the London to Brighton Cycle Ride on Sunday 13th September in aid of the Barchester Charitable Foundation.
The 54-mile challenge will see the pair swap their usual working day for the saddle as they raise money for a charity that supports older people and adults with disabilities across the UK.
The Barchester Charitable Foundation provides grants to help people enjoy a better quality of life. Funding has enabled recipients to purchase specialist equipment, enjoy days out and holidays, take part in activities and access experiences that might otherwise have been out of reach.
Wayne Hughes said: “The Foundation does some incredible work supporting older people and adults with disabilities, and we’ve seen first-hand the difference it can make. Solomon and I wanted to challenge ourselves while raising money for a charity that means so much to everyone at Magnolia Court. We’d be incredibly grateful for any support, whether that’s a donation or simply some words of encouragement.”
The team at Magnolia Court is hoping the local community will get behind the challenge and help raise as much money as possible. Every pound donated will go towards helping the Foundation continue to support people who need it most.
Anyone wishing to support Wayne and Solomon can donate via their JustGiving page:
