Residents at Barchester’s Magnolia Court Care Home in Golders Green were delighted to welcome officers from the Child’s Hill Metropolitan Police team for the home’s first ever Coffee with a Copper session.
Three Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and two Constables joined residents for a relaxed morning of coffee and conversation, discussing local community issues, neighbourhood policing and personal safety. The informal event gave residents the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and get to know the officers who help keep their local community safe.
The session was enjoyed by everyone who attended and highlighted the importance of maintaining strong links between the care home and local community organisations. Events such as these help residents stay connected with what is happening in their neighbourhood while providing reassurance and fostering a sense of security.
The home plans to make Coffee with a Copper a regular event and is extending an open invitation to members of the local community to come along to future sessions, meet their local police officers and enjoy a friendly chat over coffee.
