KitMapper is the UK’s first equipment rental network created by a struggling artist for the creative industries. The peer-to-peer lender, launched in 2016, aims to put high-quality photographic, production and event kit in the hands of creators, and let owners earn money from lending out their kit. With over 2 million people working in the UK creative industries and funding to the arts constantly under threat, small, personal projects struggle to take off. KitMapper believes that the creative enterprise should never be hindered by expense or availability.
