Marylebone Village has officially announced that the nation’s favourite father and son duo Martin and Roman Kemp will be switching on the Christmas lights at their ‘Merry Marylebone’ festive switch on and shopping day on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
The perfect fit for Merry Marylebone’s local charity partner Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster, the pair have both openly spoken about depression and mental health, recently exploring this in Roman’s award nominated BBC Three documentary ‘Our Silent Emergency’.
Singer, actor and all-round legend Martin and Capital Breakfast Radio host and broadcaster Roman will publicly switch on the festive Christmas lights, taking place in the heart of Marylebone Village’s Marylebone High Street at 6pm. The stage is located at the top of the High Street on Devonshire Street and will be hosted by local resident and BBC London’s radio presenter Jo Good.
Roman Kemp, said:
“I’ve seen just how positive the work that Mind does and what a vital support their services are to those who might be alone this Christmas or find this time of year difficult – I’m genuinely thrilled that the local branch of Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster have been chosen to benefit from the Marylebone Village Christmas Lights Switch on and campaign this year.”
