0

Andrew Anastasiou is an entrepreneur born in London on the 11th of December 1988, he became a well-known name in the finance industry after he successfully launched his first company in 2016 offering licensing and payment solutions to clients on a global scale. He originally started his project in Cyprus and since then scaled-up to servicing clients from all over the world. In 2018, he launched his first European licensed service in the way of an online banking platform that provides virtual IBAN solutions to both individual users and corporate entities.

The 31-year-old has since then become somewhat of a celebrity in the finance industry, winning 3 awards in 2020. Due to his entrepreneurial abilities, the entrepreneur was awarded the United Kingdom’s Future 100 Award. This particular award is given to entrepreneurs between the ages of 25 and 35 who have committed themselves to provide services of excellence and offering products and services that enable users or buyers to significantly increase their efficiency in their daily lives. For example, with the online banking service founded by Andrew Anastasiou, businesses outside of the European Economic Area have access to UK and EU banking services, increasing their abilities to operate within the European Union and the United Kingdom. As well as this, it allows businesses in the United Kingdom and Europe to successfully work with non-EU companies by allowing for same-day international bank transfers, instead of having to send funds outside of the European banking network which usually has very high transaction costs and long payment time-frames.

Andrew Anastasiou also won the European Start-up Entrepreneur Award and the European Scale-up Entrepreneur Award. These awards were handed to the entrepreneur for his efforts in bringing digital banking to people who have no real access to make payments online. The service is currently being implemented in Africa but is expected to transition to other continents where electronic money is still in its early stages of adoption.

With the continuous growth of Andrew Anastasiou, and his contribution to the finance industry, his peers, and his customers, we predict to see more ingenious products and services coming to the market soon.
