Greene King pubs is inviting Londoners to join a special pub warming party at London’s iconic City of Quebec pub on Saturday 30th May, with a headline DJ set from Mollie King.
As part of Greene King pubs’ nationwide “Home At Your Local” campaign, celebrating the important role pubs play in bringing people together and creating welcoming spaces for communities and unforgettable nights out, the event is free to attend on a first come, first served basis.
Kicking off from 8pm with a set from the pub’s resident DJ, the evening will then see Mollie King – much-loved BBC Radio 1 presenter – take over the decks from 9pm, bringing a soundtrack of feel-good pop, dancefloor favourites and Saturday night anthems to one of London’s best-loved LGBTQ+ pubs, as it marks Pride Month.
This move comes as new research by Greene King pubs saw that two in five (41%) Brits say they would pay up to 20% more to live near a great local. In response, Greene King pubs launched its Second Home Scheme alongside a series of ‘pub warming’ events across the country, encouraging pubgoers to officially declare their local as their “second home”. Mollie King said: “I’ve had some of my fondest memories with friends and family in the pub! They are one of the best ways to bring everyone together so I’m really excited to be part of Greene King pubs’ pub warming celebrations at the City of Quebec. It’s going to be such a fun night, and I can’t wait to get everyone dancing!”
Andrew Gallagher, Brand and Marketing Director at Greene King pubs, said: “Our pubs are places where people and communities can come together, feel at home and make lasting memories, and that’s exactly what ‘Home At Your Local’ is all about. Through our pub warming celebrations, we’ve loved welcoming customers home, and we’re thrilled to be rounding off the series with Mollie King at the City of Quebec for what promises to be an unforgettable night at one of London’s most iconic LGBTQ+ venues.”
The City of Quebec event marks the final celebration in Greene King pubs’ nationwide “Home At Your Local” series, which has taken place across the country throughout May. Previous events included a one-off pub quiz hosted by Two Pints Podcast stars Ralf Little and Will Mellor at The Albert Pub in Victoria, as well as a daytime rave at The Deansgate in Manchester inspired by the Hacienda club scene and hosted by Shaun Ryder, Bez and DJ Jon Da Silva.
