On Wednesday 12 October, leading mental health charity Mind opened its doors to London’s new and unique charity shop on Ganton Street, Carnaby. The ribbon was cut by MP Nickie Aiken, who welcomed locals to the store.

The Mind shop is Carnaby’s first charity shop and houses a carefully curated collection of preloved vintage and designer stock for the most stylish W1 shopper. Items instore currently include the likes of luxury designers Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Coach and Louis Vuitton, plus new stock will be added to the shelves each day meaning no two shopping experiences will be the same.

Spanning two floors, the space hosts oak wood floors, neon lighting and an array of chic displays. Shoppers can head downstairs to a separate changing room area to try on their one-of-a-kind finds. The warm and welcoming interior embodies the Mind brand, creating a mindful and comforting space for those who visit.

The latest addition to the current array of shops is evidence of Shaftesbury’s commitment to community, the planet and to the fight for better mental health.

Nickie Aiken, MP for Cities of London and Westminster, said:

“I am delighted that Mind has opened its first shop in Carnaby Street and was thrilled to join them in opening the shop to the public. I was really impressed with the pieces on offer and couldn’t resist buying a few things for myself!

“It is so important to support charities such as Mind who do outstanding work to support people with mental health problems. The shop on Ganton Street is a great way for people to donate to a great cause and purchase a fabulous outfit at the same time.”
