A Tower Hamlets multi-academy trust is celebrating after being awarded the prestigious Investors In People (IIP) highest status – Platinum – for the second time.
The LETTA Trust has won the accreditation in recognition of its commitment to excellence in people management and organisational performance.
IIP, an internationally recognized accreditation standard for employers, only awards Platinum accreditation to those organisations that have excelled in creating a workplace culture that helps employees thrive and bring their best to work every day.
This status, achieved for the second time, reinforces LETTA’s reputation as an employer of choice and as a leader in the education sector, delivering outstanding outcomes for both staff and the communities it serves.
In an assessment in January, LETTA achieved the highest level in eight of the nine areas surveyed and was praised for its “strong focus on innovative practices and processes and forward-thinking culture” that are underpinned by its Ubuntu principles.
These values mean that the Trust remains “at the forefront in education” as it leads on national priorities such as special educational needs capacity, the report says.
Since its last assessment in 2022, LETTA has expanded from 170 to 350 staff and has welcomed three new schools into the Trust. Despite this rapid development, it has maintained high levels of staff engagement, strong retention and a number of internal promotions.
The assessment highlighted the Trust’s systemic approach to school improvement, its investment in apprenticeships and its commitment to professional development, through initiatives such as coaching.
The IIP report also credits LETTA’s senior leaders, saying they are seen as “inspirational,
driven, open, transparent and trustworthy”.
Jo Franklin, Chief Executive of LETTA Trust, said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved Investors in People Platinum status for the second time. This recognition reflects the hard work, passion and professionalism of colleagues in our schools and in our Trust.
“We are committed to investing in our staff and creating an environment where everyone can develop and progress and we look forward to continuing to build on the successes outlined in this report.”
