Move over, motorcades. Comedian and satirist Munya Chawawa has been appointed Oatly’s first ever Diplomat of Taste, and his first official duty ahead of the opening of The Oatly Embassy in London, was anything but low-key.
Suited, booted and briefcase in hand, Munya was driven across the capital in an official three-car “Oatorcade” of Oatly-fied Rolls-Royces, with flags flying from every bonnet. His cargo was a document so important it needed its own convoy: Oatly’s Future of Taste Report, which predicts what Britain will be drinking next (spoiler: the flat white may not make it).
The mission ended at The Oatly Embassy in South Kensington which will be open to the public for two days only. Munya handed the briefcase over to a mysterious hand at the door before helping himself to Oatly Matcha stacked like bank notes in the boot.
Munya Chawawa, Oatly’s Diplomat of Taste, said: “If there’s two things people say about me it’s that: I love oats and I’m great at diplomacy. So this role as Oatly Taste Diplomat isn’t just a job, it’s destiny – and you can drink it all in on Friday when the Oatly Embassy opens”.
