“Everybody deserves a second chance, and we all deserve to choose the way we present ourselves online.”
Those are the words of Nader Nadernejad, the director of Nadernejad Media Inc., an online reputation management firm based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
While Nadernejad’s firm is headquartered in Canada, he says over 80 percent of his clients come from the US.
“Many of our clients find our help videos on YouTube or our articles on the Google search engine, and then they reach out to me for help with their online reputation.”
Nadernejad goes on to say that when clients find him, he meets with them to share strategies that will help them improve their online presence. Often, these calls turn into paid work and long-term engagements.
“People appreciate it when you give them information for free and you show them that you truly care about the outcome of their situation,” says Nadernejad.
“I love to watch people grow and excel, and that’s why I love this line of work.”
Nadernejad Media Inc. has worked with clients from all walks of life, from a former Chilean President to the Director of Education and African American Affairs for then New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
Nadernejad says that his background in journalism has made his work in online reputation management easier because he integrates ‘long-form journalistic style articles’ into campaigns for his clients.
He says that he learns everything he can about his clients and then writes lengthy feature articles about their accomplishments. He then hires publishers and mainstream news sites to publish the content, which effectively suppresses the negative content on search engines.
Nadernejad’s work has become exceedingly sought after by the pharmaceutical industry and private health supplement industries alike – he says this is one of the avenues that he looks forward to exploring the most in his business.
“Large pharma companies benefit from online reputation management, and we’ve also been contacted by companies who are looking to showcase their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability efforts.”
To help keep up with demand, Nadernejad has hired multiple writers and two communications officers at his company, and opened a second corporate-facing company called Nova Reputation Management.
Nadernejad has also helped people in the private equity space. He goes on to say that, “It’s usually for organizations that have successfully acquired private equity in the past for their startups – it’s a small world and everybody knows each other, so we guide the narrative.”
