Nadia Sawalha launches Challenge to support Diabetes Charity

The avid walker launched a ‘Types of Walker’ video in support of this year’s Fitbit and Diabetes UK One Million Step Challenge to benefit those at risk of Type 2 diabetes, to help reduce that risk where possible, or help those with it to better manage their condition.

Nadia has been inspired by the way her father took care of himself after his Type 2 diabetes diagnosis 30 years ago. Knowing too that she is at a higher risk of developing type 2, she has taken to implementing an ‘everything in moderation’ approach. A simple, yet powerful message for many living at risk of Type 2, in which lifestyle can play a huge role in reducing that risk.

This summer, she is joining Fitbit to support Diabetes UK on the challenge which encourages people to take one million steps over three months (July-September) – that’s around 10,000 steps a day – to take steps to get fit and raise funds to change the lives of everyone living with, or at risk of diabetes.
