National Express is adding 13,000 extra seats on its services between London and Stansted Airport this weekend (9th and 10th May) in response to planned engineering works affecting Stansted Express rail services.
With no direct rail link between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport, the UK’s leading scheduled coach operator is expecting an increase in demand for its services as customers look for reliable and direct public transport to and from the airport.
Running over 160 journeys a day, holidaymakers can rely on National Express for convenient, great value travel straight to the terminal door, with journeys taking as little as 45 minutes*.
Helen Smyth, Director of Commercial – Airports at National Express, said:
“We’ve stepped up by adding over 13,000 extra seats to ensure people can travel to and from London Stansted Airport with ease this weekend, and it’s great to see that savvy travellers are choosing the reliable, affordable and sustainable option by travelling with National Express.
“Whenever there’s rail disruption, we typically see an increase in bookings as the public look for reliable and affordable ways to travel. During busy periods, tickets tend to sell out quicker so we strongly recommend booking in advance to guarantee a seat for travel.”
