The Co-operative Bank’s branch in Islington is moving to a new location at 25 Islington High Street, London, N1 9LQ.

The new branch will officially open its doors on Monday 8th January. Customers in the local area are invited to attend the branch on the day and a formal ribbon cutting event will take place around midday with Maria Cearns, the bank’s Chief Operating Officer, in attendance.

The Co-operative Bank’s Islington relocation comes amid several banks closing branches in North London, with five branches set to close this year alone.*

Maria Cearns, Chief Operating Officer at The Co-operative Bank, explained:
“We know how important our branches are to the communities in which they are located. We’re delighted to move to this new location, which will provide us with the opportunity to welcome existing customers and attract new ones.”

Mark Evans, Branch Manager at The Co-operative Bank in Islington, said:
“We’re so pleased to be able to call this fantastic new branch our home and are looking forward to welcoming our customers and talking to them about the excellent products and services we can offer.”

Members of staff at the branch will be available all day to assist customers with any ethical banking needs and refreshments will be provided.
