New Pub for Borough High Street – The Bridge Tap Opens Following £300k Investment

The Bridge Tap, on Borough High Street in London Bridge, will be opening its doors this Friday (26th October) after a huge £300,000 investment, which will bring 15 new jobs to the area.

The Bridge Tap’s fresh, modern decor fits its fun, young vibe with neon signage and and six new HD TV’s which will be screening a range of sports.

The pub is embracing it’s proximity to to the world famous Borough Market by offering an exciting selection of beverages from independent suppliers. The pub will be working with local craft brewers including the Southwark Brewing Company, Gipsy Hill and Meantime. The bar will also boast an extensive spirit selection with over 50 gins and 20 rums for customers to sample.

If you’re feeling peckish, a fabulous range of of hand-stretched sourdough stone-baked pizzas are available, such as the ‘Louisiana’ (pulled pork, hickory-smoked BBQ burnt ends, and BBQ pork crumb), ‘Don’t Go Bacon My Heart’ (chicken, bacon and red onion, drizzled in sticky BBQ sauce), ‘Hello-Me’ (sliced halloumi and wilted baby spinach), plus many more! There is also a small plates menu enabling customers to mix and match from a wide selection of dishes, such as BBQ Beef Burnt Ends, Chicken & Chorizo Croquettes, Patatas Bravas, Crab & Prawn Mac & Cheese Bites and Duck Croquettes.

Vegan and vegetarian customers have plenty to choose from too, with a range of newly crafted recipes based on traditional comfort food favourites including, Vegan Chilli, Butternut Squash Mac Bake, Spiced Cauliflower Wings, and Lemon Blueberry Bites soaked in Prosecco Syrup.

General Manager, Steph Robinson, and her brand new team, will be hosting a launch party on Thursday 1st November, from 5-7pm, to celebrate the opening. The first 100 guests will be treated to a complimentary glass of bubbly, as well as canapés and tasters from the pub’s new menu.
