Ocado launches Disney-inspired ‘School of Magical Mealtimes’, bringing families together to cook this Easter

Ocado will be sprinkling Disney magic in the kitchen during the Easter holidays by launching a specially designed cookery school for kids and their families.

The School of Magical Mealtimes, opening exclusively for four days from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th April at an enchanting Central London location, offers budding chefs the chance to earn a qualification, following the two-hour culinary experience.

Using Ocado’s new range of Disney-inspired family friendly meal bundles, available now at Ocado.com/Disney, this free event will see the entire family get hands-on in the kitchen and rustle up a magical meal for all. The exciting meal bundles include healthy and easy-to-make recipes inspired by some of Disney’s most-loved stories and characters, including Moana, 101 Dalmatians, Lion King and Frozen.

As well as having the chance to show off their cooking skills on the day, the interactive event will give kids aged 4+ the chance to learn all about the world of vegetables, before officially graduating from the School of Magical Mealtimes.

The interactive event hopes to inspire families to come together in the kitchen, bringing Disney magic to make family mealtimes more memorable. The initiative has been launched following new research revealing eight out of ten parents believe cooking from scratch with their child can encourage healthier eating habits, with kids more likely to eat their five-a-day when cooking with their parents.

Ocado is working with charity partner Community Shop to bring the School of Magical Mealtimes experience to community kitchens up and down the country. This will provide invaluable access to basic cooking skills and healthy recipe inspiration for kids and families, as a longer-term commitment to driving change.
