Peers to quiz Environment Secretary on post-Brexit fishing, food and farming

Environment Secretary George Eustice will be questioned about post-Brexit issues when he gives evidence to the House of Lords EU Environment sub-committee tomorrow (Wednesday 8 July at 10.00 a.m.).

Access to UK fisheries, the environmental ‘level playing field’ and the effect on food and farming businesses of the Northern Ireland Protocol are among the areas to be discussed.

The committee will hear from:

George Eustice, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

Emma Bourne, Director of EU Exit, Domestic and Constitutional Affairs, Defra

Mark Thompson, Deputy Director, Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs
