The Marquis of Westminster, part of Stonegate Group’s Chapter Collection division, has reopened following an exciting six-figure investment, creating two new jobs in the community.

Steeped in history, the building first opened as a pub in 1839 and has been at the heart of the Pimlico community ever since. At the centre of Pimlico, the area was largely developed by architect Thomas Cubitt and the pub reflects the Victorian heritage shown by all the surrounding buildings in which the pub nestles perfectly into.

A popular destination for a lavish meal out with family and friends, the pub serves as the best spot in the area for an appetising bite to eat or a great-value beverage, with the renovation set to increase the pub’s offering even further.

Now showing all the major sports channels, the pub is Pimlico’s new home of live sport, with football, cricket, F1, golf and many more sports available on HD TV screens across two floors of the venue and creating a new Sports viewing area in The Grove Room.

One of the most exciting additions is the transition of the main pub area. Previously a simplistic white-walled room, it has been transformed into a vibrant and colourful space, full of character and personality with fresh paint and pristine new décor.

Anticipated to be popular, the addition of Sky Sports will entice fans into the Marquis of Westminster for a best-in-Pimlico sports’ experience.

Now open from 8am, the gastropub will be serving the best breakfast in town. Whether it be the traditional full English breakfast or a tasty eggs benedict, there is something for everyone to start their day in style.

In the basement, The Grove room has been brought back to life with state-of-the-art HD TVs installed for a much-improved sports viewing experience. As a result of the investment, three private dining and sports’ viewing tables have been accompanied with high-end plush decorations and furniture to enhance the live sports’ experience even further.

What’s more, The Grove room is available for hire, whether it be celebratory dining occasions or getting a group of mates together to watch the big game, this space is perfect for that special occasion. New furniture can be found throughout the venue, helping create a newfound sense of comfort at the popular Westminster venue.

Situated near popular walking spots, dogs are more than welcome throughout the pub, making the venue a favoured spot for guests popping in for a pint with their pet, with water and treats available behind the bar.

The Marquis of Westminster also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive prices in the area. The pub also has an extensive offering of no and low alcohol drinks, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

Nikolaos Koutelidakis, General Manager of the Marquis of Westminster, said: “We’re delighted to welcome guests back to our pub following its brief closure, we have missed seeing everyone!

“We’ve kept everything our guests know and love, while making some exciting improvements, especially to our main pub area, where guests will be blown away by the radiant new colour scheme.

“This refresh is all about enhancing the overall guest experience, and we’re particularly excited about the London Marathon this weekend where we’re giving runners 50% off pasta on Saturday to help them carb load ahead of the big race on Sunday.”

Renowned for one of the best Sunday roasts in the Westminster area, the Marquis of Westminster will continue its beloved Sunday roast offering with bottomless yorkies, roast potatoes, and gravy ensuring that everyone leaves their local happy.
