Popular opticians, Boots Opticians Sutton, celebrates its 35-year anniversary of providing exceptional eyecare services to the Sutton area this week.
A pillar of the local community, the store team estimate that over the past 35 years, they have provided hundreds of thousands of eye tests for Sutton’s local community supporting countless more with their ongoing eye care needs.
For over the past three decades, the Boots Opticians store has been open and has seen Sutton United reach the lofty heights of League Two, Britpop and soon-to-be nine world cups.
Store Manager, Andrew De Wit, who has worked with Boots Opticians across London for over 14 years, with two of those spent managing the Sutton Boots Opticians, said he’s loved every second of working in the area.
Andrew said: “The Sutton community have always understood the importance of looking after their eyes with hundreds coming through our doors on a weekly basis for a mix of routine check-ups, contact lens fittings, and our dry eye treatment service, which is unique to Boots Opticians.
“This week, we have had a blast celebrating our 35th anniversary with a specially-baked anniversary cake going down very well with our team and lots of kind words from our customers!”
Located within the Boots store on Sutton High Street, Boots Opticians consists of a large team of optometrists and dispensing opticians, providing vital services such as a state-of-the-art optomap scan. The ‘ultimate sight test’ allows optometrists to capture up to 82% of an eye in a single painless and non-invasive photograph, providing a comprehensive view of an individual’s eye health.
Andrew added: “One of the reasons I believe our opticians has been so popular over the last 35 years is due to our wide range of services for all our customers’ eyesight needs.
“We offer eyesight support to everyone, with NHS appointments available and provide a wide range of services, including myopia management services for children as well as routine eye tests for all ages, with hundreds of Sutton locals walking through our doors every week for the routine eye test alone.”
