The RSPCA would like to speak to a man who may have key information about an incident in which a dog appeared to be kicked inside a lift at a London flat complex.
An alleged incident took place at Orwell Court on the Suffolk Estate in Pownall Road, Hackney around 2.11pm on the afternoon of Monday, October 14 and was reported to the animal charity by council housing officers.
A light-coloured dog, who was likely to be a Staffie, was led on a harness-type lead into a lift and appeared to be kicked to the head.
RSPCA Inspector Rachel Smith, who is investigating the incident, said: “CCTV from inside the flats which has now been made available to the RSPCA appears to show the dog being kicked in the face for no reason.”
The RSPCA has released images of a man (pictured) it is keen to speak to as it is believed he has important information about the incident and the charity is appealing for him to come forward to potentially support their enquiries.
Rachel added: “We would like to talk to this man about the incident as we believe he may have key information which could support our enquiries.”
If you have any information about this man, or the wider incident, contact the RSPCA appeals line number on 0300 123 8018 and refer to incident number 01371408.
