SEA LIFE London Aquarium’s fin-tastic live streams return for lockdown

With the return of lockdown across the country and the temporary closure of SEA LIFE London Aquarium to guests, nothing changes behind the scenes for the team of Aquarists working hard at the attraction as they continue to keep more than 400 species happy and healthy behind closed doors.

Following the popularity of their social media live streams earlier in the year, gathering almost 750,000 views, the Aquarist team will be returning to live stream from different areas of the attraction every Wednesday and Saturday, entertaining their social media fans and answering questions live from viewers.

Caring for thousands of amazing creatures at the iconic London Aquarium is a 24/7 operation with each creature in need of the same level of care and attention. As a home to so many unique creatures including Gentoo Penguins, Black Tip Reef Sharks and even Green Sea Turtles, there is a whole host of amazing facts and stories to find out, with these streams proving the perfect way to keep the whole family entertained each week.

James Robson, Senior Curator at SEA LIFE London Aquarium, said: “The team are looking forward to bringing back the popular live streams we started in March. In these uncertain times we love being able to inspire people of all ages to learn more about the incredible creatures in our care. There will be two live streams every week on our official social channels from different parts of the attraction, and we will continue the hard work that goes into looking after our creatures whilst we’re temporarily closed. ”
